We don't believe in wordy jargon designed to confuse customers. This is why our terms are written as clear as possible so customers know what they are agreeing to.

Us, Our or We refers to any entity of Edwoods Handyman Services.
You or Customer refers to the person asking for work to be completed.
Our Quotes are supplied detailing all work involved. It is the responsibility of you, the customer, to review and sign off the quote if you are happy with the details involved. Any amendments are to be made PRIOR to any work commencing.
Amendments may incur further costs depending on the work involved. A new quote will be supplied to you to sign off.
Any changes to the quote that occur after work commences may incur further costs depending on the work involved. A sub quote will be supplied to you to sign off before the additional work commences. This may delay the completion date as we will not be able to continue work until the amendments are signed off.
A 50% deposit is required before the work is booked in. The remaining 50% is required within 5 working days of work completion. Any payments not received by the 6th working day will incur an addition 10% of the final quoted price for every work week that passes.
ALL material remains the property of Edwoods Handyman Services until final payment is received.
If final payment is not received within 4 weeks, you, the customer, agree to allow access to the property to remove the materials as non payment within 4 weeks is deemed as a cancellation of our signed agreement. your initial 50% deposit will be retained as payment for installation and removal of the material.
It may not be possible to restore the area to how it was prior to work commencing.
We are insured as a Handyman service including liability insurance. For our protection, pictures are taken prior to work commencing and also after each work day as proof of completion and to confirm no damage was made to the surrounding areas unless damage is inevitable which will be detailed in our quotes.
We are confident in our ability to protect your home. It is the customers responsibility to evidence that any other damage was caused by our work in the first instance.
The customer shall ensure that access to the property is granted for our work to complete. It is your responsibility to ensure safe and clear environments for our work to take place.
We reserve the right to refuse work if the area is deemed inaccessible or unsafe for us to complete our work.
The Customer shall be liable to Edwoods Handyman Services for all loss of damage whether direct, indirect or consequential which is suffered by Edwoods Handyman Services as a result of failure or delay by the Customer in performing the obligations referred to above.
The customer is entitled to cancel the agreement however some cost may arise from cancellations due to returning materials not required which would be at the time and cost of Edwoods Handyman Services. This also covers the costs of our lost wages.
Cancellations 8-14 days prior to work commencement - 15% payable of final quoted price
Cancellations up to 2-7 days prior to work commencement - 30% payable of final quoted price
Cancellations up to 2 days prior to work commencement - 45% payable of final quoted price
We run a zero tolerance policy for rude and aggressive behaviour. We reserve the right to refuse to continue work in a hostile environment or if any of our employees deem to feel unsafe or abused. The customer agrees to pay a rate of £200 per day's work completed in the event that it is deemed an unsafe environment to continue to work to completion. Work that has commenced prior to this will be left as is and is not the responsibility of Edwoods Handyman Services to finish the work to completion. You will be responsible for hiring another company to finish the work to completion.
